Beginner's Guide to Godforge Heroes

2026-03-11

What Is Godforge?

Godforge is a mythology-based hero collector where you summon, build, and battle with gods and legends from pantheons around the world. Each hero belongs to a faction, fills a combat role, and has a unique ability kit that creates deep strategic possibilities.

Whether you focus on PvE campaign, PvP arena, or Boss raids, understanding hero fundamentals is the key to building winning teams.

The 5 Archetypes

Every hero in Godforge falls into one of five archetypes that define their combat role:

Brawler — High HP and ATK frontliners who absorb damage while dealing it back. They anchor your team and are the backbone of most compositions. Heroes like Anubis and Hercules are prime examples.

Defender — Tanks built to protect your team with shields, taunts, and damage reduction. Athena and Horus are among the best at keeping squishier allies alive.

Slayer — Pure damage dealers that specialize in eliminating priority targets. Slayers like Mulan and Fenrir hit hard but need protection from your frontline.

Invoker — Casters who provide healing, buffs, and area-of-effect damage. Amaterasu and Isis keep your team healthy and powered up throughout long fights.

Disruptor — Control specialists who debuff enemies, strip buffs, and disable key threats. Loki and Hades can completely shut down opposing strategies.

The 9 Factions

Heroes are drawn from nine mythological factions, each representing a different pantheon:

Aaru (Egyptian) · Asgard (Norse) · Avalon (Arthurian) · Ekur (Mesopotamian) · Izumo (Japanese) · Olympus (Greek) · Omeyocan (Aztec/Mayan) · Tian (Chinese) · Vyraj (Slavic)

Faction composition matters — some leader bonuses and team synergies activate only when you run heroes from the same faction. Explore the full roster in the hero database to see which faction suits your playstyle.

Rarity Tiers

Heroes come in five rarity tiers that affect their base stats, ability power, and overall ceiling:

Legendary — The rarest and most powerful heroes with the highest stat totals and strongest ability kits. These are your long-term investments.

Epic — Strong heroes that can carry teams, especially early on. Some Epic heroes like Kenshin rival Legendaries in specific roles.

Rare, Uncommon, and Common — Useful early but generally replaced as you acquire higher-rarity heroes. They can still serve as fodder for ascension.

Hero Progression

Building a hero involves more than just summoning them. Progression paths include leveling, ascension (using duplicate heroes), awakening (unlocking enhanced abilities), and gear optimization.

Focus your resources on a core team of 5-6 heroes rather than spreading thin across your roster. Check the tier list to see which heroes are worth investing in for each game mode.
